ECO-TOURISM ACTIVITIES
"Eco
Tourism". With Boulder Lodge being situated beside the
Ruahine Forest Park, the eco tourist has a wonderful opportunity
to be introduced to New Zealand's native fauna and flora. Podocarp
hardwood forests - rimu, totara, miro & matai, dominates the
area with crystal, clear streams cascading from the forest.
Endemic
bird life is abundant too - bellbird,
tui, grey warbler and the rare
NZ falcon, to name just a few that
you can view in their wild and natural
state. Travers,
your host, has a lifetime of experience in the native
bush and mountains of New Zealand, so take the opportunity
and have him introduce you to the wonderful native tree
and bird life of New Zealand. |
